Lunedi pomeriggio. Gli scienziati del progetto Manhattan John Magee e Joseph Hirschfelder seguono in auto il percorso della nube radioattiva. In uno store ad un incrocio un anziano signore esclama quando li vede: “You boys must have been up to something this morning: the sun came up in the west and went on down again!”
