Muzapharid Kingdom. Persia. Tamerlane occupies Isfahan to demand the collection of huge taxes. When the population refuses, he unleashes carnage: 70,000 dead, with pyramids of heads surrounding the city walls. After Isfahan, he moves on to Shiraz, where the citizens rush to welcome him with open doors and arms.
