Winston Churchill tells the Chief of Staff that the continued bombing of German cities, intended to terrorize them, albeit under a different pretext, must be reconsidered; otherwise, we will control a devastated land. What in most Western countries is called “area bombing” is called “terror bombing” in countries like Switzerland and Sweden. Ultimately, however, Churchill decides to continue the area bombing, including the controversial bombing of Dresden, aware that it could be heavily criticized.
