The American CORONA spy satellite program is yielding its first results. The infamous missile gap in favor of the Soviets, feared, is a propaganda stunt by Khrushchev: instead of having several hundred ICBMs, the Russians have… six. By 1967, this number will rise to 893, all rigorously counted and continuously monitored by CORONA satellites.
