Paris. After a long day of manhunt, 88,000 police officers mobilized, and an eight-hour siege at the printing plant in Dammartin-en-Goel, northeast of the capital, the escape of the Kouachi brothers, perpetrators of the Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly, has come to an end. Ten minutes later, following the killing of three hostages, French police stormed the other location under attack, at Porte de Vincennes, on the eastern edge of Paris, where another jihadist, Amedy Coulibaly, also killed, had taken five hostages, including a newborn baby, in a small kosher Jewish grocery store. The woman with him, Hayat Boumeddiene, managed to escape.
