Washington, DC, United States. The Democratic-majority House of Representatives votes in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump on two counts. He thus becomes the third American president to be impeached, following Bill Clinton in 1998 and Andrew Johnson in 1868. The subsequent Senate vote is predictably in favor of the president. None of the three presidents has been removed from office (thanks to the affirmative vote of the other chamber, the Senate).
