Quetta, Pakistan. Dozens of people (63 according to some sources, 93 according to others) were killed in a suicide bombing inside a hospital, wounding 200. The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber carrying approximately 10 kg of explosives. Metal balls were also used to inflict further casualties. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. The explosion occurred just as lawyers and journalists gathered in front of the hospital to protest the killing of the president of the provincial bar association, Bilal Anwar Kasi. Many of the victims were therefore protesters. The lawyer was killed Monday morning by unknown gunmen as he was leaving his home. After the explosion, several gunmen opened fire inside the hospital, targeting journalists and lawyers gathered there.
