Italy. Youth March in the Ligurian Apennines. From a few hundred volunteers, they swell to 25,000 when they arrive in Padua. All are between the ages of 16 and 18, asking to be enlisted. The army will resist, preferring to arm trusted soldiers and snubbing the fanatical fascists fueled by youthful enthusiasm. Nevertheless, the Young Fascist battalions will be formed, after sending the less stubborn ones home, under the command of Fulvio Balisti. In November 1941, they will go to Libya, where they will distinguish themselves in battle.
