Hair analysis of the Bonaparte family found high levels of arsenic in the hair of Napoleon’s wife, Josephine, and other family members: arsenic was everywhere at the time. This partially refutes the hypothesis that the emperor was poisoned on the island of St. Helena, but two centuries later, the case is still not closed.
