Second Long War between the Ottomans and the Habsburgs of the Holy Roman Empire. Following the failed siege of Vienna, it brought unparalleled triumphs for the Christians, including the reconquest of Hungary. All the territories conquered by the Ottomans since 1521 were redeemed. Only Belgrade remained contested.
