Japan, led by shogun Hideyoshi, invades Korea, bringing with it tens of thousands of arquebuses crafted by Japanese blacksmiths. This art had been learned from Europeans only a few decades earlier. The invasion was short-lived, thanks to Chinese intervention on the Koreans’ behalf.
