Tim Berners-Lee returns to work at CERN. He had already worked there a few years earlier, and had attempted to realize his vision of connecting all the world’s computers via the Internet. Now he returns, tasked with collecting all the results of the experiments conducted at CERN. He will use hypertext, invent URLs, HTTP, and HTML, and launch the World Wide Web.
