Castelfidardo. The surviving papal troops and their allies, taking refuge in the sanctuary of Loreto, surrender: 3,000 men with 11 cannons. Among them was De Pimodan, seriously wounded, but not Lamocriciere, who fled toward Ancona, leaving behind decorations and personal belongings.
