An estimated 20,000 Turks were massacred on the riverbank and 10,000 drowned in the river. Eugene lost 300 men. He also seized 9,000 baggage wagons, 6,000 camels, 15,000 oxen, and the Ottoman army’s chest containing 3 million piastres.
