After the kidnapping and killing of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics, the three surviving terrorists were freed and transferred to Lebanon at the request of the hijacker of a small plane. They were immediately interviewed on TV and declared that they had done the right thing; two were killed by the Mossad in the following years.
