Bletchley Park, England. Turing, Welchman, Alexander, and Milner-Barry sign a letter to Winston Churchill requesting greater resources to build and test the “bombes,” the electromechanical machines used to crack the Nazi Enigma code. Churchill promptly responds to General Ismay, requesting the matter be given the utmost priority and to be kept informed when it is completed.
