Sirte, Libya. A convoy of vehicles attempting to leave the rebel-held city is targeted by NATO aircraft. Several vehicles catch fire. Among the fugitives is revealed to be Muammar Gaddafi and several family members. They take refuge in sewer pipes. They are quickly tracked down by the rebels. Gaddafi is captured, wounded but alive. Shortly thereafter, he is executed with a shot to the temple.
