Croatia, Yugoslavia. A young Nikola Tesla, armed with a backpack and several books, wanders the mountains and trails, at the suggestion of his father, who wants him to be stronger so he can enroll in the military academy. The experience does indeed make him stronger physically and mentally. He also develops original ideas, such as sending packages and letters across the Atlantic using a pressurized tube on the ocean floor.
