Iraq. Iraqi regular forces and Iranian-armed Shiite militias occupy the city of Kirkuk and its oil fields. The Kurdish Peshmerga militias, who had held it since 2014, when Iraqi soldiers fled the advance of ISIS, leave the city peacefully. The Iraqi and Shiite advance will take a different turn in the following days, when the Shiite militias advance deeper into Kurdish territory, toward Erbil.
