Nigeria, Northern Nigeria. In a series of coordinated attacks involving bombs and automatic weapons fire, militants from the fundamentalist Islamic sect Boko Haram have devastated the city of Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State. At least a hundred people have been killed and several hundred injured.
