Bologna. The Allies disarm the partisan forces present in the city. For the past two weeks, they had turned a blind eye, or rather both, to the summary trials and executions of fascists captured by the partisans. Bologna is the only city in Northern Italy where the punishment of collaborators is carried out in the presence of Allied troops.
