Sykes-Picot Agreement. The spoils of the Ottoman Empire were divided between Great Britain, France, and Russia. The latter would not receive its share following the October Revolution. The agreement was made public only on November 26, 1917, by the Bolsheviks who had just come to power in Russia and then by the British.
