During a conference in the Sala degli Stemmi of the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Palmiro Togliatti exchanges words with a student, Adriano Sofri, who accuses him of not doing what he promised. “You try to start a revolution,” Togliatti says. “I’ll try, I’ll try,” Sofri replies. It’s said that the 1968 movement in Pisa began with that conference.
