Venera 13 lands on Venus and transmits the first color panoramic images and soil analysis for 127 minutes. It is followed four days later by Venera 14, which transmits another 57 minutes of color panoramic images and soil analysis. They are then destroyed by the extreme pressure, temperature, and corrosive atmosphere.
