Finland. Continuation War. The Red Army, now relieved of its forces on the front against the Wehrmacht, concentrated on the Finns and managed to advance. Then the Finns managed to halt the front, as in 1941. They didn’t defeat the Russians, but they made their advance an unsustainable bloodbath.
