Spectacular Soviet military exercise simulating an all-out attack against the United States and Western Europe. A seven-hour nuclear war is simulated. It opens with a missile launch from a submarine, followed by two SS11 ICBMs launched from ground-based silos, an SS20 IRBM launched and shot down by an ABM-X-3, a Kosmos-1379 satellite, and two missiles carrying photographic reconnaissance satellites and several navigation satellites to replace any that may be shot down by the enemy.
