Space Shuttle mission STS135 returns from the ISS. This is the last mission of the Space Shuttle Atlantis and of the entire Space Shuttle fleet. They flew for 30 years, from April 12, 1981 to July 21, 2011, for a total of 134 flights divided as follows: Columbia (launched in 1981) 28 flights, Challenger (1983) 10 flights, Discovery (1984) 39 flights, Atlantis (1985) 32 flights, Endeavour (1992) 25 flights. The kilometers traveled are approximately 900 million in 20,952 orbits. The Space Shuttle program cost approximately 113 billion USD. 848 astronauts between the ages of 28 and 77 (John Glenn), from 16 countries, 49 of whom were women, flew on the Shuttle. Story Musgrave is the only person to have flown on all five shuttles. The crew has ranged from two to eight people, with missions ranging from two to 17 days. The heaviest payload carried into orbit is the 25-ton Chandra space telescope.
