Apollo 14: Alan Shepard, an avid golfer, faces the camera and announces: “In my left hand I have a little white pellet that’s familiar to millions of Americans…” With a 6-iron, hidden from NASA, he tries to hit the ball. The first shot misses, the second grazes it, the third hits it squarely. The ball shoots off on an almost straight trajectory into the black sky. Shepard announces: “Miles and miles and miles!”
