Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Vysinsky visits King Michael and asks him to dismiss Prime Minister Radescu and install Petru Groza. While the king stalls, Romanian troops in the city are replaced by Soviet units. The next day, the king relents. The difference between Romania and Western countries is that, in Italy and France, the government will be supported by the Allies, with solid moral, financial, and military support, while in Romania, the Soviets provide no financial aid and instead demand war reparations.
