The very idea of giving women the vote is considered outrageous by most, the possibility of having a woman on the Supreme Court or Secretary of State is simply ridiculous, and homosexuality is a topic that can’t even be mentioned. A hundred years later, in the same country, women’s right to vote is a given, there have already been several female Secretaries of State, as have several members of the Supreme Court, including three women (and two men) who voted in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage in 2013.
