Benazir Bhutto, the main opposition candidate in the elections scheduled for the following January 8th, is also assassinated in a suicide attack that kills more than 35 people; Bhutto was the daughter of a former Pakistani prime minister, killed after a coup, and she herself was a former prime minister of Pakistan.
