The Russians are invading South Ossetia, a Georgian territory of 60,000 people linked to Russia and whose annexation it had requested; the invasion, which includes thousands of soldiers, hundreds of tanks and aircraft, will push deep into Georgian territory in a few days and will also involve the other territory claiming autonomy from Tbilisi: Abkhazia.
