Alcide De Gasperi dies. Alcide De Gasperi was one of the founders and leader of the Christian Democrats, in which he participated since writing a pamphlet entitled “Reconstructive Ideas of Christian Democracy” in 1943. Before Fascism, he had been a member of parliament for the Popular Party.
