While Mikhail Gorbachev is vacationing at his dacha in Crimea, a group calling itself the “State Committee for the State of Emergency” insists that Gorbachev either declare martial law or resign. After refusing to do either, Gorbachev is held hostage, and the KGB cuts off communications between his dacha and the outside world.
