Sirte, Libya. The United States carries out air strikes on the IS-held area, at the request of Tripoli-based Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Serra. Fighter-bombers and Apache helicopters take off from aircraft carriers and the Wasp helicopter carrier cruising in the Mediterranean.
