The USAF launches a small, 9-meter-long, fully automatic, unmanned shuttle vehicle aboard an Atlas V rocket. It is a next-generation spy shuttle (code X-37B/OTV-1), far more advanced than NASA’s shuttle. Its fifth flight will remain in orbit for 780 consecutive days. Several units will be built.
