Los Alamos, New Mexico. Physical chemist Joseph Hirschfelder suddenly enters his colleague John Magee’s office, shouting, “What about radioactivity?” The two will be tasked with estimating the impact of radioactivity on the environment surrounding the Trinity Site in the Jornada del Muerto area. Based on wind and weather conditions, they will have to collaborate on the date and time of the explosion to limit the impact on the region.
