Nice. A large truck, traveling at about 80 km/h for several hundred meters, plowed into a crowd leaving the July 14th fireworks display at 10:30 PM on Thursday evening along the famous Promenade des Anglais, the seafront promenade. During the zigzag course to hit as many people as possible, the driver fired machine gun fire. Eighty people died, many of them children. More than a hundred people were injured, 42 of them seriously.
