Norrebro Station, Copenhagen. During a debate on freedom of expression, featuring Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks (under police protection for years for his Muhammad cartoons), a bomber bursts in, kills a man, and wounds three officers. He then flees and kills a Jewish person in front of a synagogue just after midnight. At 4 a.m., the attacker returns to the scene of the first attack and opens fire on officers. A firefight ensues, in which he is killed.
