Eugene Wigner suggests a new variant of the Copenhagen Interpretation that holds “consciousness” responsible for the emergence of the R (probabilistic) part of quantum mechanics: in the entire part of the universe where there are no conscious beings to observe, there is only a superposition of many U (deterministic) realities.
