The Third Global Pandemic in History, like the previous two, also originated in China and was caused by bubonic plague. It originated in the Yunnan region, during the Qing Dynasty. It would kill ten million people in India and reach San Francisco, via Hawaii, in 1900. It would continue to claim victims, for example in Latin America, until 1912.
