Sona and Sommacampagna, between Verona and Peschiera. The Austrians attacked the Piedmontese with a vast superiority: 60 battalions with 183 guns versus 20 battalions with 20 guns. The Sardinian division was forced to abandon the position it had held for three months and retreat to Cavalcaselle, near Peschiera.
