Eurasia. The invention of the wheel in the Fertile Crescent spread rapidly east and west across Eurasia, thanks to the absence of significant natural obstacles. Within a few centuries, it had spread throughout Eurasia. The situation was drastically different in the Americas: the wheel was invented in Mexico (but never used effectively due to the lack of draft animals), but it never reached the Andes (where the llama was used as a draft animal).
