Juan Maldacena hypothesizes what will become known as the Maldacena Conjecture (or ADS/CFT conjecture), which is the most famous form of the Holographic Principle according to which the state of any string in our space can be put in 1-1 correspondence with the state of another object in a space of lower dimension than ours, so that we appear to see a sort of holographic projection of “physical reality”.
