Khrunichev Design Bureau (OKB-52, NPO Mashinostroeniye). This is Chelomei’s Moscow-based design bureau, which designs the Proton, Angara, Rockot, and Salyut systems. It was one of the first Russian aerospace companies to sign agreements with Western companies: Int’l Launch Services ILS was founded with Lockheed Martin in 1993, which launches with the Protons. Chelomei is Korolev’s main rival.
