Modena. The central section of the Cialdini Barracks, the last bastion remaining from the ruins partially destroyed by American bombings during World War II, is demolished. Gypsy caravans gathered in front of it after the war, and there were jousts and shooting contests. After its demolition, the Barozzi, Guarini, and Muratori Institutes will be built.
