Ken Kesey arrives in the San Francisco Bay Area to graduate from Stanford. He also works as a nurse at a psychiatric hospital, where he volunteers for a CIA program (MKUltra) to test the psychedelic effects of LSD. Ken enjoys it. He later writes “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” He also promotes the technotribalism that will characterize the internet and electronics age, through the Merry Pranksters commune he founded.
