Luigi Romersa publishes an account in France claiming he was present during a nuclear test (probably a dirty bomb) in the Baltic Sea (the island of Rügen), as Mussolini’s envoy and with Hitler’s approval, in October 1944. However, the news is largely ignored for the next half century, only to resurface when Romersa, late in his life, is interviewed and raises the issue. Evidence of the test having taken place will be found.
