The development of radar technology takes priority in America over nuclear technology for warfare purposes; in fact, the use of radar is correctly considered more useful in the short term; as a consequence, the best minds in the country, particularly at MIT, work on radar, while the initial development of nuclear potential is largely left to European scientists.
