North America (the future United States). The Kunders family (later Cunreds, then Cunards, and finally Conrads) has German ancestry. They founded Germantown, Pennsylvania, in 1689. They received 500 acres of virgin land from William Penn himself. Pete Conrad, the third man on the moon, with Apollo 12, is descended from this family.
